What are the main updates from PMI ?
As notified by PMI, Online proctoring option is available for PMI-ACP certification starting from 1st April 2019. It means, Candidates can now take PMI-ACP and CAPM exams online from their home or office.
Till now, exam vendor for PMI is Prometric. Candidates worldwide take PMI related certification exams at Prometric centers. Now PMI, changed its exam vendor to Pearson Vue.
What about PMP, PgMP, RMP and other certifications ?
There are no changes to other certification exams. These exams have to be taken at exam centers only. The exams are conducted at Prometric centers till now. Starting from 1st April exams will be conducted at Pearson Vue centers. Candidates who had already scheduled a test at a prometric center on a date till 31 June 2019 can sit for the exam at the prometric center itself. However, all PMI certification exams scheduled post 31 June 2019 will be conducted only at Pearson Vue.
How do I schedule my PMI-ACP Online proctored exam ?
Once exam fee payment is done, you will then be eligible to schedule your PMI-ACP online proctored exam. Log in to PMI.org and navigate to “Review Application Status” under myPMI. Click “Schedule Exam”. You will be directed to schedule your online proctored exam through Pearson VUE.
I have already scheduled my test date for PMI-ACP, How does this effect me ?
If your test date is before 1st July 2019, then any of these changes does not effect you. You can continue your preparation as scheduled, and sit for the exam at the test center.
If your test date is on or after 1st July 2019, the only thing you need to do is update your test center from Prometric to Pearson Vue. You will receive an email and also will be guided by PMI to do this change.
I have already scheduled my test date for PMI-ACP at a test center, but, now I want to take my exam online at home, what should i do ?
Reschedule your test date to a date post 31-Mar-2019, and choose online proctoring option. However, if your exam date is close enough that you cannot reschedule, then you only have the option to cancel your test and schedule freshly.
Is there any change in exam fees to online proctoring version of PMI-ACP ?
No, exam fees remains the same.
Are test centers changed to Pearson vue from Prometric ?
Yes… PMI has changed their vendor who would conduct their examinations world wide (except china) from Prometric to Pearson Vue.

Starting from 1st April 2019, Scheduling available at Pearson Vue for PMP®, PgMP®, PfMP®, PMI-PBA®, PMI-SP® and PMI-RMP® exams.
I had already booked my Testing at Prometric, what should I do ?
I your test date is before 1st July 2019, then there is no change for you, you can take your test at the prometric center as scheduled.
If you test date is on and after 1st July 2019, then login to PMI, and change your scheduling details from Prometric to Pearson Vue. You will be guided with steps to change your venue after you login.
